Article contents
Princess is a divinely-enhanced hydra. She has eight heads and is large even for a hydra. She is much more powerful than normal hydras.
She is able to be tamed by whoever draws blood using the control dagger and then scratches her with it[1]. The dagger was found by Daimen in the imperial orb and looks similar to the one allegedly used by the sulrothum tribe residing in the Ziggurat of the Sun. This similarity was noted by Storm Dream (an aranean mercenary) and clued Zach and Zorian in its function[2].
Appearance
"Something huge and dark blue unfolded itself out of the cenote."[3], "Eight draconic-looking heads observed the world"[3], "Its eight mouths opened up slightly, exposing rows and rows of dagger-like teeth"[3], ..."even the largest ones didn't grow more than 10 meters in length. This one seemed to be at least twice that size, if the size of its heads was of any indication."[4]
History
Zorian guessed that she was created as a guardian for the imperial orb or its owner[4].
Within the time loop
Cenote fight
Out of the time loop
Used in the fight on Sudomir's Iasku Mansion.
Abilities
Teleport
Despite its enormous size that should have made teleportation nearly impossible, she is able to perform short-range teleportation, as well as teleportation in and out of the imperial orb.
Hive mind
Each of its heads seems to have its own mind, with an additional ninth mind that leads the other eight.
Telepathy with owner (?)
Relationships
Chameleon drakes (living in the cenote)
It's possible Princess might've had some sort of pact with the chameleon drakes in order to protect them should they ever be in serious danger, as is shown by how she protected them in chapter 68 when Daimen's treasure hunting group, when Zach and Zorian attacked the cenote where the chameleon drakes lived.
Zach Noveda
Within the time loop, he managed to tame Princess by trial and error with the divine dagger inside the orb.
Zorian Kazinski
Tamed by Zorian outside the time loop.
