The Time Slayer, also referred to as the Timeslayer, was a ship built by Cronos, a ship capable of sailing the Great River, free of the tyranny of time, allowing the River People to travel the currents as if they were Outsiders. It carried a motley crew of powerful champions gathered from the last human settlements on the Great River, including people from Fallen Grace and other cities built by the sybils, descendants of the Outsiders brought by the Serpent King, and members of the last remaining River Nomad tribes.[1]
Although not a formal crew member, Ananke sailed on the Timeslayer for a time after Cronos came to Weave in search of her as a Shaper. Despite its unique ability to traverse the Great River, the ship had limitations, as it could only carry so many warriors on its deck.[1]
Description
Unlike the Chain Breaker, it does not possess an inherent ability to fly, as it lacks both a sacred tree around its main mast and a runic array to sustain it in the skies. Instead, it is able to remain airborne because Ananke channels a Verse that allows it to fly, demonstrating her mastery as a sorceress and her ability to wield her Will to keep the ship afloat. At its helm, Ananke navigates using bronze tools arranged on the deck of the Time Slayer, guiding the vessel through the desolate expanse toward the Ark.[2]
