Temple of the Chalice was the location of the glass knife, given to a War Maiden by the immortal Shadow.[1]

Description

Island

On a desolate island covered by tall pillars of jagged rock, a numinous temple stood, its beautiful stone walls painted red by the light of the drowning sun. All around it, countless swords were thrust into the petrous ground, rising from it like a solemn graveyard of steel.

— Chapter 666 Dark Rider

There was only one path through the forest of blades and nothing was around but pillars of jagged rocks and the swords thrust into the ground.[2]

Interior

In the center of the Temple, there is a large hall where a giant stone chalice stands. It was filled to the brim with ranging white flames, the same fires that burn in the Sky Below. On the bottom of the chalice is where the glass knife was kept.[3]

The tall chalice was cut off a single slab of gray stone. Underneath its surface, an intricate weave of ancient runes was glowing.[4]

Rules

The Temple of the Chalice only allowed women inside. They will only give passage to female warriors of utmost skill, those who are veiled in dread and the smell of numerous bloody battlefields.[5] Men aren't allowed to enter the Temple unless they are serving a woman.[6]
