Rain's Shadow was a mysterious and powerful figure who resided in her shadow and only appeared when no one else was around.^[1] Rain is his disciple.^[2]^[3]

Appearance

He looked a little bit like Rain, a much more glamorous, handsome, and male version of her, but on the shorter side.^[1]

He was a strange being who calls himself Shadow. When emerged from Rain's shadow, he looked like a young man with flawless alabaster skin, raven-black hair, and beautiful eyes that resembled two pieces of glistening onyx. His exquisite appearance was perfectly human but a bit too sublime.^[1]

Personality

Initially, Rain thought she was hallucinating, but after spending time with him, she realized he was real and immensely powerful. He did not seem to harbor any ill will toward her and treated her with familial affection, almost as if he was the spirit of her distant ancestor. She was adopted and didn't know much about her biological parents, so it might have been an eccentric dark deity in her family tree.^[1]

Reveal

Despite spending four years with him, Rain remained unaware of his identity. He was not afraid of sunlight or interested in drinking her blood. Any attempts to ask him about his identity were met with nonsensical responses like:^[1]

He claims to be her long-lost brother.^[1]
He killed an evil version of himself and reached the estuary of the river of time, which flows inside the great pyramid that a dreadful demon had built from the blood and flesh of an Unholy Titan. In there, he was attacked by a vile, odious, very nasty, no-good bird and had his fate stolen. That was why no one in the world remembers him.^[1]
He claimed to be very famous with a secret alter ego that was world-renowned. He was a war hero and extremely wealthy. He was also close to Princess Nephis of the Immortal Flame and claimed to be her boyfriend.^[1]
His age is unclear, he was supposedly a few years older than Rain, but at the same time, his incarnation has only been born about four years ago. He claims to be thousands of years old. He had forgotten most of it after he destroyed his cursed magical sword that rebelled against him which destroyed those memories as well.^[1]
He was not an evil god, but he had blood from an ancient demon and devoured the alabaster phalanx of a nebulous deity after being cast into a bottomless abyss. He is the master of a lightless fragment torn from a divine realm. He is a demigod at best.^[1]

Note: In Chapter 1975, Sunny clarified these are all the truth. In addition, he also clarified how he knew of a baby who attained transcendent rank, why Beastmaster had asked him to run with her once and being in Nephis' bedroom which earned him a punch to the face from Rain.

Trivia

This is Sunny's second self was incarnated by the happy shadow, keeping an eye on Rain.^[4]
He taught Rain that there is more to a weapon than its power, their reliability, ease of carrying, and durability in harsh conditions.^[5]
He was weirdly good with thread and needle which Rain reluctantly learned.^[5]
