“ Angels are not heralds of the gods. Angels are of the Void — they are an especially harrowing kind of Void Beings. Needless to say, people like you and I have no business knowing of them, let alone beholding them. So, keep that word out of your mouth, boy. Better yet, keep it out of your mind entirely. ”

― Eurys to Sunny,
Chapter 2267 Unwelcome Choice

Angels are enigmatic and terrifying entities originating from the Void. Contrary to common myth, they are not divine messengers or servants of gods. Instead, they are described as "an especially harrowing kind of Void Beings", feared even by ancient and powerful figures.[1]

Appearance and Nature

Little is known about the true appearance of Angels, and most accounts avoid specifics. What is clear, however, is their terrifying presence and the intense taboo surrounding them. The mere mention of their name causes visible distress in beings such as Eurys, who immediately shivers upon hearing the word. Angels are considered dreadful beings—not to be spoken of, not to be thought of, and certainly not to be witnessed.[1]

Origins and Classification

Angels are Void Beings, but not just any kind. They occupy a particularly dangerous and mysterious tier within the hierarchy of the Void. Eurys refers to them as more harrowing than typical Void entities, placing them close—perhaps even on par—with the gods, who are later revealed to also be Void Beings of a distinct and terrifying nature.[1]

Trivia

  • Three eyes was associated with the Nephilim, it is the sign of the Void, the sign of the angels and of what angels touch, which the Nephilim also bore, though they often choose to hide their third eye.[2]
