• Serves as a counter to Divination.^[1]
• Allows Jake to block truth-telling abilities. As of C-grade, he didn't know how to make a lie register as truth or vice versa, but he does have the ability to keep the ability from getting a reading or allow the ability through.^[1]
• Block's the ability to read Jake's karmic connections or use them to to trace him to a person or vice versa.

The shroud is highly successful because when someone attempts to pierce it, they aren't going up against Jake's ability to hide himself, they are competing directly against the records and power of the Malefic Viper.^[1] This allows Jake to hide from all but the most powerful gods in the multiverse.
