Seawind Village, though we should probably update the name to Seawind City with its expansion over the last year.

—Arthur, to Miranda Wells

There was a recent influx of immigrant beastfolk who preferred settling near the ocean, drawn by the water for reasons tied to their diverse racial traits. These were members of the United Tribes that requested to move to Earth after the Chosen ceremony. This sudden population shift didn’t sit well with the local residents—especially once seaside property values skyrocketed, making the area unaffordable for anyone not firmly established at D-grade or higher.

For many of the beastkin, proximity to the sea was a practical necessity, often tied to their biology or racial abilities. In contrast, the native human population valued the coastline mainly for the scenic views, leading to growing resentment as they found themselves priced out of neighborhoods they’d lived in for years. The clash of needs—pragmatic versus aesthetic—only deepened the divide.
