Scaled Miresnake

One of the first things Jake noticed about the Scaled Miresnakes was how their use of the Polymorph skill differed from its use in the rest of the multiverse. Generally, monsters created humanoid forms for themselves that made it easier to interact with the enlightened races. However, Venus had no enlightened races to influence polymorph choices. The snakes of Venus instead looked like perfectly regular large snakes, about eight meters long, but with two thin arms on each side.^[1]Their scales were pitch black and their eyes looked entirely hollow save for black irises with a white slit down the middle. Their gaze gave Jake the impression that they possessed an ocular skill.

The group of snakes that Jake met lived within the Arachnec mound, but isolated in a small camp built around a lantern that gave off an odd white light that created a barrier to ward off the death energy.

When the snakes first met Jake, they were visibly shocked. They were also very reverential when interacting with Jake, able to feel the influence of the Malefic Viper even through Jake's Shroud of the Primordial. ^[2] Jake gives a brief summary of gods, Primordials, and how Records can echo throughout the multiverse as a way of explaining why they can feel the connection. After experiencing Pride of the Malefic Viper, the snakes are greatly interested in meeting with the Primordial.
