Ebony Tower/History

The Ebony Tower's first level housed the Fire Keepers' living quarters, illuminated by enchanted lanterns. Each lantern is a Memory of one of the Fire Keepers, and their lanterns glow as long as the master is alive. If the master dies, the lantern dissipates into sparks, destroying the rest of their Memories. A similar chamber in the Ivory Tower also detects the death of Fire Keepers.^[1]
