Spear of Resolve Striking Straight at the Heart of the Matter

Spear of Resolve Striking Straight at the Heart of the Matter is the aranea matriarch of the Cyorian web.

She finds out about the time loop by trawling through Kirielle and Kael's memories after tracking down the rumor about "telepathic spiders" to its source, Zorian Kazinski^[1]. She helps Zorian with his initial attempts to learn mind magic in exchange for Zorian carrying her memory packets in his mind from restart to restart^[1][2]. She is later slain and erased from the time loop by Red Robe^[3]. Her last memory packet stays within Zorian's mind for a while. It is later revealed that she intended to betray Zorian by being the only one to leave the loop^[4]. Outside the time loop, Zorian (through his simulacrum) recruits her as an ally to fight against the invasion; when Spear of Resolve asks what Zorian would do if she refuses, Zorian states that he would "go to one of the other aranean webs"^[5] (meaning the Cyorian web would be evicted or even exterminated outright).
