Ghost Serpent

Ghost Serpent is a minor character in Mother of Learning. He is a native spirit whom Ghost Serpent Acolytes worship^[1].

He advises the aranea from the Ghost Serpent Acolytes web to avoid any dealing with Zorian and Zach^[2][3], as he recognises the Controller's soul marker they have. He finally agrees to meet them when they come together, confused that there's two bearers of the Controller's marker (which he refers to as "the Brand"). He hates all Controllers because one of them, according to Ghost Serpent, committed crimes against him. He is convinced Zach and Zorian would exploit him, and that's why he refused to speak to them until then and was about to throw them out. Zorian asked him how the time loop works, and Ghost Serpent agreed to explain, in exchange for their promise to never visit him again.^[3]

Spear of Resolve's last message mentions that he was her primary source on the mechanics of the time loop.^[4]
