Warmongers are Awakened warriors who are worshipers of War God.[1] Every one of them was merciless, mad killers.[2]

The followers of the cult of Glory were merciless, cruel raiders that worshiped war, slaughter, and bloodshed, killing simply for the sake of killing. Their perverse fate and zealous belief are that by destroying the lives of innocent people they were delivering the gift of salvation to their victims.[2]

Appearance

They are tall, strong, and clad in archaic armor. Their garments were painted bright red, and so were the plumes of their helmets. They wielded deadly weapons.[1]

Mindset

Their worldview was twisted and ruthlessly cruel, but more or less simple. They believed in struggle and glory, one had to struggle to achieve glory, and the struggle itself was the most glorious thing. Dying while struggling against an overwhelming foe was the highest form of glory. The only thing more righteous than being killed by a stronger enemy was to kill that enemy instead.[3]

In their mind, what they were doing to the slaves was not a cruel injustice, but a benevolent gift. They were generously given a chance to walk the path of righteousness and strive toward glory.[3]

Members

  • One was armed with a spear and a shield.[1]
  • One wielded an axe and a sword.[1]
  • Jailer - An Ascended warrior who wielded a great blade inscribed with a line of runes and was enchanted with very powerful magic. His figure was solemn and powerful, a sense of terrifying strength radiating from it in almost physical waves. The apostle of War wore the same ragged leather armor and a tattered red robe, his features hidden behind a deep hood.[4]

Trivia

  • In the Kingdom of Hope, their cruel trials in the Red Colosseum are something that every parent tells their children to make them behave.[3]
  • Their weapons were enchanted with runes.[4]
