His Other Self
“ Hey, wastrel… can't you even keep yourself alive? You weak, worthless fool. Do I have to do everything for you? ” ― His other self to other Mordret,
Chapter 2480 Alter Ego
In Chapter 2480, Other Mordret survived a deliberate car crash while on his way to visit Morgan, saved his driver from the sinking vehicle, was attacked by the same man, and was ultimately rescued by a mysterious doppelgänger—leaving him injured but elated as he realizes with a bright, almost joyful smile that his other self has returned.
Mordret and his other self are bound by a natural pull, it is in their nature to be pulled together in an attempt to become whole once more. Their connection created an imbalance because of differing levels of power (at some point, one of them was Supreme, while the other was merely Awakened). His existence weakens his other self, while his other self existence propels him toward greater power. Due to the greater metaphysical mass of a Supreme being, the other Mordret was being pulled upward much more than his other self was being pulled down.[1]
Family
Anvil
The other Mordret admitted that he never really had the opportunity to get to know their father. However, based on what he had heard, he implied a deeply negative reputation, stating that anyone would seem generous and merciful compared to their father, suggesting that Anvil was perceived as someone against whom even his other self's own actions could appear kind and merciful by comparison.[2]
Enemy
Asterion
The Mordret inside the mirror viewed the Dreamspawn as an overwhelmingly powerful and almost insurmountable force, describing him as their maker who knows everything there is to know about them while they themselves only know what he chose to reveal.[3]
He emphasized the Dreamspawn's superiority, noting that he has all of humanity fighting on his side and that his other self is alone could not match that power. Despite acknowledging the Dreamspawn's near-absolute advantage and the impossibility of defeating him through conventional means, the other Mordret recognized that Supreme Mordret still intended to confront him directly, seeing the coming battle on the Chained Isles as a decisive moment rather than a retreat or prolonged campaign.[3]
Friend
Rain
“ Oh, my… you endured a lot. That person, whoever he is, sounds completely deranged. Surely, I'll be a step up? ” ― Other Mordret to Rain,
Chapter 2881 Harmless People
His awareness of Rain comes indirectly through his connection with his other self. At the same time, he expressed genuine surprise at her presence, explaining that his other self usually doesn't let anyone near him so, he did not expect that his other self would allow her to wander in near him unsupervised, describing her arrival as a nice surprise.[4]
He reacted to Rain's claim of being harmless with amusement and saying he was the same. He further framed this shared trait as a disadvantage, noting that "It is difficult to be harmless in a world where weakness is seen as sin". Additionally, he described Rain as fortunate and attributing this to the fact that she encountered him, the only person in the world who can explain and teach natural Ascension and Transcendence.[4]
He saw potential in her as a pupil, stating that he can teach her how to become a Saint, even if actually becoming one would be much harder for her than it was for him, and that he thinks that it will be fun to have a pupil, emphasizing that he is mostly by himself in the mirror. He also perceived Rain as capable, brave, and resilient. He was visibly impressed and somewhat shocked when she recounted her experiences under a previous teacher. Even after Rain ranked him only seventh among her previous teachers, he accepted it.[1]
Neutral
Cassie
The other version of Mordret viewed Cassia with a sense of uncertainty but formed a notably different impression from his brother.[5]
Although he acknowledged that his brother was certainly wary of her and had described her as a devious, eerie, treacherous witch, he said she did not seem that way to him. Instead, after considering her words and actions, he concluded that she seemed like she was trying her best. He also expressed doubt that she would betray his brother, even if it benefits her and how much she hated him.[5]
