Gale

He is among the numerous artists and creative professionals leaving the waking world for the Dream Realm, reflecting a migration of culture to the Dream Realm. While Earth remains more populous and developed, it is an old and dying world, whereas the Dream Realm is young, full of endless potential and fatal risk, and attracts aspiring creatives with the harsh exuberance of a new civilization being built under dire pressure. As a result, Gale’s concert serves as a bittersweet farewell to the cradle of humanity, and is most likely the last show he will ever play on Earth.^[1]

He is also described as Kai’s former partner in crime, their close association during their time in Night&Gale. Kai is eager to attend the concert before Gale departs for the Dream Realm. The concert’s music is an experimental post-nightmare pop, the style of Gale’s solo work. The event itself attracts enough attention that a large banner advertising it is displayed on the facade of a prestigious concert hall.^[1]

• Kai and Sunny went to Gale's concert titled "GALE: The Last Show on Earth" in Chapter 3013.
• Kai deliberately chooses not to reveal his presence to Gale before the show, explaining that if he appeared, today will become about him, and that Gale really deserves better. Kai also believes that Gale is still a bit angry with him for abandoning the band and leaving him behind, despite Kai having his own reasons for leaving.^[2]
• Gale is presented as the star of the concert and the remaining member of the former duo Night&Gale in Chapter 3014
  • As the concert begins, a lone figure walks onto the stage and bows, causing the audience to erupt in cheers, indicating Gale’s status as the highly anticipated performer of the event.^[2]
