True Dragons are Monsters with a natural grade of B-grade . They are considered an elite race, the top race of monster casters in the multiverse, outside of rare and unique variants. Every True Dragon is a master mage, capable of extreme levels of mana manipulation. Their natural ability to learn new spells is incomparable.

Characteristics

True Dragons vary widely in how strong they are, with their power dependent on their variant race.[1] The strongest variants fall into two categories:

  • Two powerful True Dragons had an egg. It hatched and the hatchling was incredibly talented and discipline. Aishalstromoz is an example of this category.
  • Those who weren't born True Dragons but evolved due to their talent and Path. The Malefic Viper and Tramon are examples of this category. When Jake was seeking to hunt a True Dragon as a C-Grade, Villy specifically warned him that hunting from this category was completely and utterly impossible as evolved True Dragons have proven that they are geniuses in their own right.

Potential, however, can be wasted, as proven by Yrelestromoz. Born True Dragons are powerful simply on account of their race, but they aren't necessarily talented. Only by living up to the potential of their innately powerful race can a True Dragon be recognized as an actual genius. In contrast, in evolving to a True Dragon, those who weren't born as such have already proved that they are talented and capable of living up to their potential. The Dragonflights are naturally eager to recruit these new dragons and they often receive blessings. [1]

Evolutionary Path

The most common evolutionary Path for dragons not born to True dragons is for scaled beasts, such as lizards, snakes, or iguanas to evolve into wyverns and then into True Dragons.[2]

Naming Convention

True Dragons can be easily identified by their name, which will end in -stromoz. The suffix is used to communicate someone is truly a dragon, or at least was a true dragon at some point in their Path. Bearing the -stromoz suffix entitles the bearer to a high degree of status, esteem, and respect. One such holder of this suffix is the Malefic Viper, who was a B-grade Calamitous Banespike Dragon and bears the name Vilastromoz, denoting his successful evolution.
