Queen Bee

The lower half of her face was hidden behind an elegant half-mask. Everything about this regal woman spoke of skill, grace, and resolve. She wore a light metal armor and wielded a slender estoc, its blade long and sharp. Her eyes seemed to shift from one color to another as if reflecting her mood.^[2]

There was a strange serenity about her that somehow seemed simultaneously alien and familiar, it was the same type of clarity that Nephis possessed. She seemed deceptively placid. She is a combat master.^[2]

She can transform her technique into a completely new one. There was a slight disconnection between how her shadow moved and how she moved. She can avoid losing her footing on the slippery petals and none of them were also crushed under her armored boots. It was almost as if she was always hovering a few millimeters above the ground without actually touching it.^[3]

Her alias was Queen Bee, and she was almost as enigmatic as Sunny himself. Unlike other popular duelists, she didn't broadcast or promote her fights, preferring instead to remain anonymous and under the radar. It seemed as though she was only interested in dueling itself, and nothing else.^[4]

• Queen Bee had never lost a duel. She was an undefeated champion of the arenas. The network was full of theories about who Queen Bee might be:^[4]

• There was even a rumor that she was not human at all, but instead, an artificial construct was created to keep the players from reaching the top spot and to remind them to always strive for greater mastery.
• Queen Bee had her own army of unreasonable fans.

• Queen Bee (Noble Queen Bee) is a cameo for one of the readers of the novel.
