Fallen One was the last of the Sky People, who had once lived in the splendor of the Sun before its death and the creation of the White Abyss; he had raised the Divine Children, including Ketzelkan, to inherit the Sun Realm, though he was sealed within the Temple of the Sun and forbidden from leaving.[1]

Appearance

The Fallen One appeared as a towering figure, dressed in dark vestments with his face obscured by a deep hood. His arms and slender torso were encased in intricate silver armor, and twelve grey wings rose behind his back, casting shadows over those around him. He was distinctly non-human, described as the last of the Sky People, far older than the world itself, having witnessed the world before the gods died, before the mortal realms fell to Doom, and before the creation of the White Abyss. The temple he inhabited served as both his home and his prison, emphasizing his isolation and monumental presence.[1]

Background

The Fallen One was ancient being who dwelled within the Temple of the Sun at Heart Lake, serving as both its guardian and prisoner, forbidden from leaving.[1]

Unlike the rulers of Mictlan, the humans; he was the last of the Sky People, who had once basked in the splendor of the Sun before it died, devoured heaven, created the White Abyss, and annihilated his kin. He was far older than Ketzelkan and the other rulers, having witnessed the world before the gods died, before the mortal realms fell to Doom, before the White Abyss existed, and before the Sun Killer fell, whose hollow bones later became Mictlan. [1]

In the past, he had tended Ketzelkan and his siblings in the temple, raising them to inherit the Sun Realm. When the rulers of Mictlan came to the temple to hold council, the Fallen One awaited them in stark solitude, towering above kings and queens as if they were children, greeting them with the words: "Welcome, those who carry the Flame."[1]
