A massive cloud continent floated 25 kilometers above the Earth, suspended high in the sky like a celestial island. Strangely, the air at this altitude wasn’t thinner, and the mana density remained just as potent as it was on the surface. However, the ambient affinities had shifted—wind affinity dominated the environment, while earth affinity was noticeably scarce.
The cloud itself was dense and solid enough to walk on, its surface firm underfoot like packed mist made tangible. It supported an entire ecosystem of its own, with towering trees whose roots wove through the fluffy substrate, exotic beasts adapted to the high-altitude mana, and elemental lifeforms that thrived in the skyborne energy currents.
