Winter wolf

Winter wolves are large wolves that can be found in northern Altazia. They are first mentioned in the story in chapter 3 where Zorian has to answer a question about warding an outpost in the Sarokian Highlands. In the next chapter he encounters them for the first time when he is searching for Akoja after she ran out of the dance hall.

Sudomir Kandrei created a "Reverse Wolf Shifter" by splicing a human soul onto an alpha winter wolf. This wolf has created various legends around the Sarokian Highlands for its acts against human settlements during winter. It is nicknamed the Silver One.
