Divine Magic

Divine magic is the magic cast by the gods. It uses divine energy instead of mana. All divine works are nearly undetectable through classical magic. In the modern age, no one can cast divine magic, not even the angels. The only divine magic left accessible are divine artifacts and divine blessings.

Divine Artifacts

Divine artifacts are not automatically unbreakable, it only seems that way because those that aren't have not survived to the modern age. Divine artifacts can also be useless and many of them are pointless artifacts made as a joke by the gods. Although most of these have broken down or been thrown away.

List of Divine Artifacts

  • Alanic's divine artifact - Can heal any burns as long as the victim is still alive.
  • Daimen's Mirror - A divine shield.
  • Princess's Dagger - Creates a bond between the person who cut themselves with it and then stabbed the hydra.
  • Sandworm's Dagger - Similar to Princess's Dagger.
  • Eldemar's Tether - A tracking artifact controlled by the Eldemarian government and used to track thieves of the treasury. It has a very large maximum distance it can support before it snaps.
  • Sovereign Gate - It takes a detailed record of everything in existence and copies it. Requires a primordial to function.
  • Divine Contingencies - Safeguards put in place by the gods to deal with existential threats. They are set to automatically activate through certain triggers such as primordials being released. They are scorched earth policies.
  • Five Treasures of the Ikosian Emperor
    • Imperial Orb - A glass orb.
    • Imperial Ring - A plain metal ring.
    • Imperial Dagger - A gleaming dagger.
    • Imperial Crown - An ornate crown.
    • Imperial Staff - A simple staff.

Suspected Divine Artifacts

  • Lizardman Sage's Staff - A gnarled wooden staff with a gleaming pearl attached to the top.[1]
  • Violeteye's Staff - A simple unadorned staff that lets her teleport despite being a dragon mage.[2]

Divine Blessings

Divine blessings are either given directly by the gods or by the angels upon their most pious and capable servants. People with divine blessings are rare even before the silence and they were often very secretive about their blessings.

List of Blessings

  • Quatach-Ichl's Blessing - A soul stabilization frame made out of divine energy that encircles his soul. The blessing doubles his mana reserves without hurting his shaping skills. It is possibly in the shape of an icosahedron.
  • Zach's Blessing - Near-identical to Quatach-Ichl's Blessing down to the same base magnitude of 25. It additionally acts as the divine contract he has with the angels.
  • Princess's Blessing - Princess is divinely enhanced and has the ability to teleport.
  • Sandworm's Blessing - The Sandworm is divinely enhanced and has the ability to fly and resistance to mind magic.
