False God

False Gods are creatures born of faith energy, resulting in a powerful and rare being that often serve as totems or items of worship for small isolated factions across the multiverse.^[1] If an entire civilization believes in something as divine being, it generates faith. But if that being does not actually exist, the faith has nowhere to go. However, sufficiently fervent belief that something exists is enough to manifest its existence, creating a False God.

These beings are not actual gods. Their name stems from how they came into being and is used as equal parts insult and description.
